It's been a good month for this most ambitionally-challenged writer. Thanks to nudges from collegues at Backspace and the weekly email from Duotrope Digest, I have two more publishing "credits" and my first paycheck for writing (a rather healthy sum, too!) Will Write for Wheels, EJ Knapp's novel adventure in stories was published in the October 18th issue of the North Bay Bohemian, a weekly newspaper in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The fall 2006 issue of the Canadian literary journal, AguaTerra, published by Ascent Apirations will contain my poem, "The Rainy Season."

In November, I hope to accomplish the lofty goal of producing 1,700 +/- words/ a day for the
NaNoWriMo contest. I am finished , for the time being, with edits on my first novel, "Advance Directive", and plan to query it after the holidays. The NaNoWriMo challenge is a great way to write the first draft of my second novel, an historical fiction set in 1970's Spain. While I'm cursing and slamming the backspace key, I'll know I'm not doing it alone!
